Thousands of passengers were stuck at Gatwick today and facing a race against time to get home for Christmas after the airport was hit by power cuts as a result of last night's storm. EasyJet has been forced to cancel 38 flights and passengers with other carriers faced severe delays as a result of problems at the North Terminal caused by the failure of two substations.
