School dropout remanded for biting Uncle�s fingers

A 20-year-old unemployed school dropout, Emmanuel Ofori, from Ankaful near Cape Coast was on Thursday remanded into Prison�s Custody by a Cape Coast Circuit Court for allegedly assaulting his uncle and biting his fingers in the process. He pleaded guilty to assault and will be re- arraigned on Thursday, January 30, 2014 for judgment. Police Inspector Christina Sampong told the court presided over by Mrs Florence Otu, that on Friday December 27, 2013 at 19:30hrs, Mr Augustine Nketsiah , (complainant) a security man and resident at Mpeasem, near Cape Coast received a phone call from this father inviting him home. She said upon Mr Nketsiah�s arrival at home, a quarrel had ensued between his father, his sister- in- law ( Ofori�s mother) and Ofori himself and Mr Nketsiah tried to control the situation but Ofori rather held his shirt and beat him severely, biting his fingers and causing injuries on other parts of his body in the process. Inspector Sampong said Mr Nketsiah reported the incidence to the police leading to the arrest of Ofori.
