Five people were killed on Saturday afternoon from gunshot wounds during the installation of the Odikro of Akumfi Effaryir, Nana Nssel VII. The victims included four children and a 40-year-old man, according to report. Narrating the incident to Citi News, an Eyewitness, Augustus Akwasi Koranteng, said the incident happened in the afternoon around 12pm when one of the gunmen, who was preparing his gun for firing as part of the activities to mark the occasion, accidentally shot the victims. �It started around 12pm when they carried the Odikro in the palanquin. We were all happy as they were firing gunshots, which is part of the activities usually and during that period, the man who was setting his gun for fire, mistakenly shot the people,� said the eyewitness.
