The sexy Roselyn Ashkar - who represented Ghana on the first season of Oluchi�s hit reality TV show, Africa�s Next Top Model � has said that the biggest difference between fashion in South Africa (where the show was held) and Ghana is that models in Ghana are not given the right rewards for their work. She explained: �I think the first thing we can learn from South Africa is not to be so greedy. I mean the people who are supposed to pay the models � the advertising agencies, the brands that need models to market their stuff � should pay the model what they deserve. And they need to pay a quality model, not just go in for a family member or anything like that. I think we can definitely learn that, we should allocate the right amount of rewards for jobs that models do. I think that�s the first step we need to look at because we have a long way to go. If we don�t do that now we�re not going to progress� She also said that her experience on Africa�s Next Top Model was amazing. �It was a lot of things in one, talking about the stress levels, the learning process, meeting new people and learning about their culture. The set was amazing and I learned a lot from the judges which included supermodels and huge designers. So to have such people telling you what to do and what not to do, all added to the amazing experience.� According to Roselyn, she didn't agree with the judges when she was evicted but took it well. She believed she deserved to win the competition. �When I was in the house I didn't think it was likely for Aamito to be the winner. But yeah, in competitions, the judges have the idea who the winner should be, who they want to work with whether the person would fit in that market. I guess she fits in the market but when we were in the house I didn't think she would win. I thought it was definitely either me or Yemi my Nigerian friend or Michaela from Angola. I thought one of us but then we didn't.� She also spoke highly of model and host of Africa�s Next Top Model, Oluchi. �Oluchi is an amazing person and I never thought that she would be this down to earth. I thought she would be like this supermodel, the �I�m not your level� type of person but no she wasn't. She was amazing and a good mentor I should say. She brought it down to our level and she related to us as her little sisters that she�s training to come into this industry to kill it. She�s amazing and I love her�. According to Roselyn, partaking in the competition has opened many doors for her to advance her career in modeling. �I have had many opportunities which I can name them now but definitely I have. It was a global platform, so many people were watching that it shocked me; many people are reaching out to try and work with me now. It is shocking that such people were even taking notice of the show.�
