Construction of KIA terminal 3 takes off in June

Kotoka_International_AirportThe Minister of Transport has disclosed to Citi Business News that the design for the construction of the third terminal at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) is currently in progress. Plans for the project first came to light during the President John Mahama�s state of the nation address recently. The third terminal at the KIA when completed will reduce traffic at the existing two terminals. Terminal 1 is used by domestic operators and some regional operators while terminal 2 is used for international arrivals and departures. Sector Minsiter, Dzifa Ativor tells Citi Business News design plans will soon be submitted to the Ghana Airport Company for approval after which its construction will commence by the middle of the year. �The design is being worked on, it will be submitted to Ghana Airport Company and the final decision will have to be taken on whether it is acceptable or not.�
