Kofi Boakye Bares Teeth Robbers Run For Cover

DCOP Kofi Boakye, the newly appointed but ever flamboyant Police Commander for Ashanti Region, has once again sounded a note of caution to parents to tame their wards since any acts of indiscipline or lawlessness will not be countenanced by his administration. According to him, though he considers himself as a son of the Ashanti soil that will not cloud his judgment to deal ruthlessly with any lawless person or group in the region. Speaking at this years annual get-together party popularly referred to as WASSA by the Tafo-Pankrono Divisional Command last Friday, the Police Chief advised parents in the region particularly those in the Tafo-Pankrono jurisdiction to admonish their children to stay off crime and criminal activities since the Police administration are bent on curbing crime at all cost. The area, according to the Police chief, has a worrying crime rate where the youth with ages between 17 and 19 are noted for perpetrating crime and assured that his administration will do all within its power to reverse the trend. I know as a son of this soil many in the region who before my posting knew me may seek to exploit this to serve whatever interest they may have, but let me caution you all that notwithstanding I will ensure every crime and indiscipline is treated with the necessary sanctions in the Police administration code, he warned. If this Divisional Command fails to crush robbery and crime in the area, Ill send reinforcement from the district command and if that also fails Ill lead a team from the regional command to crush them, the Police Chief angrily warned. DCOP Kofi Boakye also cautioned against the use of violence by the public to resolving conflicts and disputes. He further advised the citizenry to as a matter of priority and necessity report all issues of conflicts and disputes to the Police since the administration has the wherewithal to combat such situations. On his part, Superintendent Frank Abrokwah, Divisional Commander for Tafo-Pankrono, expressed his outfits readiness to fight crime and all manner of indiscipline in the jurisdiction. He, however, commanded the Regional Administration for the show of support for the Tafo-Pankrono Divisional Command and assured their readiness to partner the public to combat crime on all fronts in the area. Supt. Abrokwah also called on the public and the media to volunteer information on suspicious occurrences in the area so as to enable the Police to adequately deal with them, adding that security is a shared responsibility between the populace and the security agencies.
