The Head of Corporate Communications at Volta River Authorithy,Samuel Kwesi Fletcher has assured Ghanaians that before Easter commences, the nation would enjoy extensive supply of electric power.

He was however emphatic to state that �this could only transpire should Nigeria supply Ghana with enough gas to power our machine and make them run normal�.

He went further to establish his displeasure concerning the way most Ghanaians were quick to lampoon VRA concerning every power generation failure. The Volta River Authority according to him has come under several attacks following the unbearable life condition the erratic supply of electricity has brought on Ghanaians.

It has become normal for all most everyone to point fingers at the institution and lament about their �incompetence� which has brought the nation this far.

But Samuel Kwesi Fletcher displaced this notion and explained on Peace FM�s Evening News that when it comes to electrification, there were other private institutions working alongside VRA to curb the situation. He was saddened by the fact that when power troubles looms, VRA is severely criticized on the airwaves and made to take full responsibility.

�When it comes to power generation, the point must be made that VRA isn�t the only responsible for it. There are private institutions such as the Asogli Power Plant, Gridco, Bue and others which work together with VRA to produce power. It is totally wrong for people to pile up all the heat on us�, he said.
