Vodafone Spices Up VGMA With Treasure Hunt For Students, Red Room VIP Treatment, YouTube Live Streaming and More

Vodafone, headline sponsor of the Ghana Music Awards, is promising several exciting surprises at the 2014 edition of the awards, set for May 3 at the Accra International Conference Centre. Uche Ofodile, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana, speaking to the press ahead of the main Awards reiterated her outfit�s unflinching support for the awards which she described as �the biggest music platform in Ghana.� According to her, �We are very supportive of musicians and we want to make sure that they are recognized and awarded appropriately. There will be some very interesting surprises � dubbed Vodafone First � which you will see on the day of the event. It will be very exciting and it will take the event to another level, we want to push an envelope.� About 23 chart topping musical acts from Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa are expected to rock the stage.And this year, Vodafone Red customers will be given a rare opportunity to enjoy the Vodafone Red Room � and exclusive invite-only VIP room where guests �wine and dine� like VIPs to music from top DJs and the watch proceedings of the awards ceremony. Lucky Vodafone Red customers living outside Accra will be flown and accommodated is a posh hotel in Accra prior to the awards night, to experience the Red Room. Uche also disclosed that as part of efforts to take the awards to a bigger audience, there will be a live streaming of the event on Youtube via www.Youtube.com/VodafoneGhana. �We are making VGMAs very accessible to everyone in Ghana and across the world and that social media will play a huge role in updating fans on the awards�, she noted.
