The Central Regional Communications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC),Bernard Allotey Jacobs has described the Chiefs and people of Manya Krobo Traditional Area who gave him an ultimatum to come out and publicly apologize for calling for the dismissal of the Finance Minister as �unserious� people. According to him, if they were �serious�, they would not jump to the defense of the Finance Minister, Seth Tekper because it could open the flood gates for every traditional ruler to protest the reshuffle or dismissal of government appointees. �If that is allowed�, he said on NEAT 100.9 FM , �there would be chaos and it could make the country ungovernable�. These comments by the out-spoken NDC stalwart, who calls himself an educated fisherman, comes on the heels of a directive issued by the Spokesperson of the Lower Manya Krobo Traditional area, who doubles as the chief of Ahuse, Nene Asada Ahor, for Allotey Jacobs to retract and subsequently apologize for his claim of incompetence on the part of the Finance Minister, Seth Tekper who is an indigene of the Traditional Area. The Finance Minister has come under intense criticism in recent times for his inability to formulate and successfully implement policies and programs to turn the economic fortunes of the country around. One of the people who held this school of thought and was very vocal about it, was the NDC Central Regional Communications Director but even though the ultimatum issued him to retract and apologize to the Finance Minister would elapse on the Friday 9th of May, 2014, he has called the bluff of the Chiefs of the Lower Manya Krobo area and further described them as �unserious�.
