As part of this year�s mother�s day celebrations, Hello fm has donated items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to inmates of the Kumasi central female prisons.
The kind gesture was to celebrate the mothers in the prison.
Speaking to peacefmonline.com, the officer in charge of the Kumasi central female prisons, mad. Juana Tackie Otoo expressed their profound gratitude to the station and the despite group of companies for their noble gesture and for remembering mother�s in the female prison 'on a special occasions like this'.
She however expressed worry about society�s attitudes towards inmates when they are released.
She explained that, it is everybody�s duty to accept inmates when they are released because they are part of us.
General Manager of Hello FM, Mr. Odei Asare in an interview with peacefmonline.com explained that "as a corporate institution, it is our social responsibility to serve the community. We will continue to do more of such gestures and assist the poor and vulnerable in society".
He expressed his profound gratitude to cherished listeners of the station who in diverse ways donated to support the exercise.
