The political fight within the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) over who becomes the Flagbearer of the party for the 2016 general election took on a new twist with Peacefmonline.com chancing on posters of Alan Kyerematen being widely circulated in the country ahead of the party�s stipulated date for the open of nominations. According to information received, Alan Kyerematen�s posters are all over the country including areas such as Tamale, Techiman, Sunyani, Cape Coast, Accra, Takoradi and Koforidua; intended to send signals to NPP delegates that Alan Kyerematen�s camp has violated the party�s rules. But speaking to Former NPP Member of Parliament for Kwaadaso Constituency, Josephine Hilda Addo, she told Peacefmonline.com that the circulation of Alan Kyerematen�s posters was being orchestrated by some people within her party (NPP) to tarnish the good image of Alan just to score cheap political goals. The Ashanti Regional Communication Director of Alan Kyerematen�s campaign however implored the delegates and Ghanaians in general to show any politician with the intention to tarnish the image of their opponent the exit as those politicians have nothing better to offer the country except vile means to get into power. Touching on the defaced posters of Alan Kyerematen, she averred that the person who did that has done well as those circulated posters of Alan do not come from his camp, adding it is an open secret in NPP that the same people who trumped up charges of homosexuality and illicit drug trade to tarnish the image of the current Chairman Paul Afoko when he was vying for the position have started circulated the posters of Alan to make him look bad before the delegates. ��certain group of people in NPP said Paul Afoko was a homosexual and a drug dealer; it is an open secret in NPP and we know them but who God has blessed, he eventually became the chairman of our great party and we believe that God can make way for Alan Kyerematen despite what they are doing to tarnish his good name�..if you want power, you have got to be truthful; I want the delegates to know the truth about Alan and that�s all that matters to me. There are so many things going on in our party against Alan that we have to react to but we don�t want to lose focus on our campaign for Alan Kyerematen��I am 99.9 percent sure that these posters are coming from one particular angle in the party who are anti-Alan; it is my personal conviction that the circulation of Alan posters is within NPP��Afoko�s issue is our consolation that people can say whatever they want about you but in the end, what God wants is what he does and we are not perturbed about what is going on about Alan Kyerematen; but the circulating posters of Alan are not true,� she posited.
