Ankrah Hacked DownNyantekyi To Follow?

Many Ghanaians have hailed the prompt decision by President John Mahama to axe his Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, from his job, but heavily critiqued the decision to reassign him as a Minister of State. President John Mahama has come under very strong criticisms for hiding Mr. Ankrah in his bosom at the Flagstaff House, with his re-assignment. An outright dismissal and a total purge of the Black Stars management team would have soothed many ailing hearts, caused by the gross mis-management of events leading to Ghanas early exit from the World Cup, currently underway in Brazil. The Black Stars finished bottom in Group D with a point, joining a few others who surprised the world as nations who had great potential, but could not make it past the group stages. In Ghanas case, the players agitations for their appearance fee and a total breakdown of discipline in camp are the immediate culprits for the poor performance, but many Ghanaians are enraged at the management of the team for ineptitude, and want decisive actions taken against them. Fans of the Black Stars are also calling for the head of the President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Kwesi Nyantekyi, over an alleged match fixing scandal that rocked his outfit, and his performance as the head of the management team of the Stars. Many have questioned, among others, the motivation of Mr. Nyantekyi to head the management team, when that role was cut out for his supervision. Again, many Ghanaians are least enthused at how the county was reduced to the butt of all jokes across the world, due to the way and manner monies were airlifted to avert players boycotting their final group match with Portugal. Some players have blamed the teams poor performance at the World Cup on the selfishness of some officials of the team, who they accused of milking the state dry, and making money off their backs. Whats the use of the GFA officials and others here? You are basically non-essential and have no role or duties here. Your number even dwarfs that of the players. You receive bonuses for no work done; you are a drain on the government. You always make money on our back, and you see every tournament as a means to make money, and you have the vim to question us why we want our money? Sulley Ali Muntari is reported to have charged, after he and Kelvin Price Boating were thrown out of camp for indiscipline. Pressure group Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has also descended heavily on the Presidents decision to reassign the Sports Minister and his deputy, instead of handing them outright dismissal from government for their incompetence. According to the group, reassigning the two was a subtle endorsement of their incompetence by the President. AFAG, however, wants the outgoing minister to account for every detail of how the tax payers monies were used in Brazil. Meanwhile, the Minority in Parliament is planning to haul the outgoing Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, to Parliament over the abysmal performance of the Stars in Brazil. The President, John Mahama, has hinted of a committee to probe the teams performance in Brazil.
