Ghanaians Asked To Avoid Smoking And Alcoholism

Dr Jacob Akuamoah-Boateng, Medical Director of Megavest Medical Centre, has called on Ghanaians to avoid smoking and alcoholism and keep healthy lifestyles. He said it was important that Ghanaians exercised regularly, ate balanced diets in addition to more fresh fruits and vegetables. Dr Akuamoah-Boateng, also the Chief Executive Officer of MAB Group of Companies, gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency as the Megavest Medical Centre is being relocated from Point 4, North Kaneshie to Darkuman, behind the Police Station near Afropa House. As part of the relocation, the Centre is organising health programmes for the people on Saturday which include health walk from MAB International Hospital to the new location, National Health Insurance registration and renewal and free medical screening of tuberculosis, malaria, blood pressure and body mass index. They would also undertake a clean-up exercise at the Darkuman Police Station.
