The Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers (GNAPF), has commended government for the bold step to launch the Broiler Project. Mr Kwadwo Asante, Chairman of the Association, in a signed statement, said this would significantly promote local consumption of poultry products. The statement pledged total support for government�s efforts at enhancing the growth of the poultry sector, and urged the farmers to work hard to meet the 40 per cent production target. The expectation is that a sizeable proportion of the country�s poultry consumption would come from the local farmers. The statement said the Association would increase production levels to ensure that consumers have access to healthy and quality poultry products.
