Ghana's Black Princesses Readies For Canada's Young Canucks
An exciting start is on the cards as the FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup opens with Ghana meeting the hosts, Canada on Tuesday.
The Black Princesses will be up against a rather partisan crowd at the Toronto National Soccer Stadium in a Group A contest.
Bashir Hayford has been preparing his Ghana team in the Ontario capital ahead of the tournament with Alice Danso sounding bullish ahead of opening fixture against the Young Canucks.
We have been preparing very well for the tournament, Danso said.
We are getting all the support we need and I am sure that when the competition starts in Canada, we will be ready.
The Young Canucks expect an explosive start with the Black Princesses.
Ghana is a very fast, physical team, said midfielder Jessie Fleming. They have very technical forwards. Theyre definitely going to be difficult to play (against). Theyre unpredictable at times.
Ghana will also have group games against Finland and 2006 tournament winners, Korea DPR to come in Toronto.
