A boat conveying a family of eight on a raging, flooded river Kagom, at Ungwar Sarkin Mata, Kagom District in Jema�a Local Government Area, LGA, of Kaduna State capsized yesterday, killing seven family members, authorities said.
The family members were braving the turbulent river to their farm to harvest maize when the boat overturned, drowning 7, living only one person who knew how to swim as the only survivor, it was gathered.
