DCE Faces Contempt Charge

Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that a high Court in Cape Coast has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the District Chief Executive (DCE) for twifohemang- Lower-Denkyira, Bossman Osei Hyiaman Jnr., to compel him to appear before the court. Information had it that the DCE failed to appear in court and also failed to delegate somebody to represent him at the court, even though an application of contempt of court had been made against him. DAILY GUIDE gathered that he could have either assigned somebody to represent him or seek permission for him, since he had filed an affidavit application opposition indicating that he had received notice of the contempt application against him. Information had it that he had treated the court with further contempt by not attending or notifying the court about his absence. DAILY GUIDE gathered that although his lawyer, Adu Yeboah, who is the NDC regional Chairman, did not make it to court. Addington Gustuv reportedly held brief for him but the court refused to accept any explanation from him.
