The Central Regional Director of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Mr. Francis Oti Frempong, has appealed to workers of the NHIA in the Region to develop a positive attitude towards their work.
He said this would enable the NHIA to achieve set goals in the Region and the nation in general.
Mr. Frempong was opening a three- day review conference organized by the Central Regional Directorate of the NHIA at Winneba on Wednesday. Forty-Five management staff from the 13 district branches of the NHIA in the Region are participating.
Mr. Frempong said the Central Region lagged behind other regions in all the major performance indicators, according to a recent assessment of the NHIA performance chart of the regions in all areas of performance.
He mentioned the areas as BMS and membership indicators, financial records, timely reporting and quality of reports.
Mr. Frempong said out of the targeted 1,083,539 active membership which the region set for the year, 277,560 was achieved at the end of the first half of the year.
