Ayrton Drug To Hold Fun Games On September 20 At El-Wak Stadium

Ghanaian giant pharmaceutical company Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Limited will organize fun games for its staff members on Saturday September 20 in Accra. The Abeka-based company will engage their staff members in activities such as football, athletics, volleyball, sack race, dancing and lime and spoon at the El-Wak sports stadium. The programme forms part of the company's annual activities to create an informal platform for their staff, customers and their families to exercise and have fun. The games which is under the theme �Health is Wealth� is also meant to foster unity and build a healthy lifestyle among their hardworking staff. The games will feature the various departments of the company including Managers and Directors, administration, syrup, tablets, Stores and Porters. In the football competition, four divisions such as Administration FC, Syrup FC, Tablets FC, Stores/Porters FC will engage each other with a coveted trophy at stake. Administrative and Factory Managers will square off in the 100 meter race in athletics with other departments squaring off in the 200 and 4x4 meters men and women. The same will be replicated in the volleyball, sack race, Tug and Peace, Dancing and Lime and Spoon competition among men and women. The Head of Sales and Marketing of Ayrton Drug, Monica Esi Adukpo, said the activities were part of the company�s efforts to inculcate a healthy lifestyle in their workers. �The fun games forms part of the company�s policy to instill the spirit of healthy lifestyle in our staff members,� she said in a statement. �We want to take the opportunity for our members to socialize and have fun with their families while creating a solid bond between management and staff members. �The company believes the one-day event will go a long way to foster unity and continue to put us on the map as the biggest pharmaceutical brand in Ghana and beyond.� On his part, Prince Aryeetey, captain of Syrup FC, the defending champions in the soccer tournament: " Syrup FC will surely defend the cup for the second time" Ayrton Drug was incorporated on the 24th September 1965 by the Late Mr. Samuel Benson Adjapong; a Ghanaian entrepreneur and the first Ghanaian Chief Pharmacist at the Ministry of Health.
