Ill Boost NDC Votes In Gt Accra - Manly-Spain

A Greater Accra Regional Chairman aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, has pledged to unify grassroot members of the party in the region to double the partys votes in the 2016 election. He also pledged to ensure that the constituency offices of the party are functional to help the party prosecute the 2016 victory agenda. In an interview, the founder member of the NDC branch in the United States of America and former constituency executive member in the Ablekuma South Constituency, said, It is sad that even though we are in power, most of our constituency offices in the region are closed down. This will be a thing of the past in my administration, if elected Greater Accra Region NDC Chair He added that most of the grassroot members of the party felt neglected after the partys victory in 2012. The grassroots remain the most fundamental constituency of the party and I am doing my best to restore hope in them. I believe when those at the lower level are appreciated and given the needed support, our party can win any election in the country, no matter the situation, Manly-Spain stated. He assured party supporters of better times ahead, especially when more dynamism is injected into leadership. This is the time to calm down the tempers of all the aggrieved members who worked hard for the party in the last election and to remobilise them towards the next election, he said. Manly-Spain, a businessman, said he had constant interaction with the grassroot members and had risen through the ranks of the party since 1992 and had also been a PRO for the party in the USA, executive member, branch chairman, among others. He said when elected as chairman, steps would be put in place to initiate and maintain effective and efficient interaction between the constituency executive, the Member of Parliament and the grassroot members through quarterly meetings. Mr Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, the man tipped to win the Greater Accra Region Chairmanship race, made the above pledge in an exclusive interview with The Daily Graphic yesterday. Why our constituency offices should be locked up for not paying our rent even though there are a lot of avenues to seek for funds to settle the debts. He, therefore, called on delegates to vote massively for him so that together they would move the party forward in unity, love and towards victory in 2016. He reaffirmed his commitment to the cause of the party and his readiness to contribute his quota to its growth at the regional and national levels.
