Stabilize The Economy...Kabila Charges Prez Mahama

Former National Youth Organizer for the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr., has called on the Mahama administration to review the factors that led to the cedi depreciation so as to stabilize the economy. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kwabena Bomfeh, also called Kabila, enjoined the Government of Ghana to take necessary steps to check the impact of the US Dollar on the country's currency. He however commended the efforts by the Central Bank and the government to streamline the cedi as against the dollar rate. There are predictions that the Ghana cedi would appreciate marginally as the weeks go by. The dollar which, about a couple of weeks ago, was sold for about 4 Ghana cedis has reportedly reduced to 3 cedi. Kabila was hopeful the cedi rate would considerably increase and strengthened to maintain stability in the nation. Though appreciating the new adjustments in the rate of the country's currency, he charged government to aim at bringing the dollar to a minimal level. Lets investigate them and depart from those things. If we dont depart from those paths, we shall revert back," he said.
