China Boosts Ghana's Ebola Preparedness Efforts

Ghana's quest to prevent the deadly Ebola disease from entering the country has been given a major boost with the donation of $800,000 dollars by the Chinese government. The aid will be used to purchase epidemic control and prevention materials. An MOU to this effect has been signed between Ghana and China at a ceremony in Accra. The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Sun Boahong, who initialed on behalf of her government, said efforts should be made to accelerate the research and development of vaccines and drugs.
