A couple of weeks ago, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, was in the USA to interact with his party members. He however did not limit his visit to finding out the welfare of his party members but went further to find out more about what the US government was doing for Ghana. It was through this "mission" he uncovered that as far back as 2011, the US government freely donated health equipment worth $20 million to the Ghana government to improve our health sector. Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman �Wontumi� revealed to both Peace FM and Peacefmonline.com that he delved deeper into the matter to find out why the current NDC government, had refused import of the facilities into the country after receiving it for free from another country. Wontumi�s Findings For some strange reasons, the items according to Chairman �Wontumi� have been stashed in two separate warehouses located in Atlanta and Virginia. Interestingly, the Ghana government was paying $30,000 a month to the owners of the warehouse to store the items. And this has been the case since 2011 to date. �The startling aspect of the case is that although government is claiming there is no money to import the goods, some government appointees who know about the donation have deliberately registered their own NGOs and were using it as a means to steal the items meant for the entire country. "They have transformed themselves from human to mice and were stealing for their personal gains,� Chairman �Wontumi� said. Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako added that should those involve refuse to own up, he would start mentioning names and hand over documents to the CIA and EOCO to ensure they are apprehended and punished.
