Dr Kwabena Adjei Kick-Starts NDC Chairmanship Campaign

Dr Kwabena Adjei, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Wednesday officially declared his intention to seek, dismissing allegations that he is soft. He said the chairmanship position was not for one to have control over ministers or the presidency and any political party chairman treading on that path is plunging the party into crises. He said leadership was collective and situational, allowing constitutionally mandated persons to play their roles without conflict, insisting, I am not soft, we play roles. Dr Adjei likened the chairmanship position to a statesman, saying, I perform political roles, chairman of the party is like a statesman and I live quietly. Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of NDC, urged delegates to vote for people who are hardworking, competent, and loyal to the party. He said the party was facing a very dangerous opposition who had all the resources and would not border to sponsor a candidate to infiltrate the NDC and cause confusion.
