The convicted District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Bossman Osei�Hyiamang Jnr. has been released from the Maximum Security Prison.
The DCE was released 14 days after he was jailed for assaulting a bailiff.
The DCE was released at dawn on Saturday �instead of the earlier scheduled time to avoid media coverage.�
The DCE was sentenced to jail by the Cape Coast High Court for verbally assaulting a bailiff who was sent to serve him summons over a demolition exercise he initiated on a market at Twifo Praso despite a stay of execution.
The incident led to his incarceration. The DCE is currently in Accra where he is receiving medical attention.
He is expected to address his supporters on Tuesday at a victory welcoming party which will be organized at the new market.
