Delegates Swerve Alan Kyerematen...Meets An Empty Space

NPP flagbearer-aspirant, Alan Kyerematen, has been stood up by some delegates of the main opposition New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, where the former Minister of Trades and Industries, had gone on Thursday to do last minute campaigning ahead of the partys Saturday congress has gathered. Kyerematen, who is on the final lap of his nationwide tour was billed to meet delegates of the Ashanti region today, but the former Ambassador to the United States turned up at the venue only to meet an empty place. Starr FMs Ashanti regional correspondent, Isaac Bediako Justice, reports that Kyerematen has been waiting for the delegates at the Jubilee Park for so long without a single delegate showing up. Over 140,000 delegates of the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition will elect one of three candidates as flagbearer for the 2016 elections. Kyerematen is contesting two-time flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo and MP Francis Addai Nimo for the slot.
