NPP Chairman Displays All-Die-Be-Die Stabs NDC Panelist On Emak FM

The Eastern regional 1st vice chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Omar Bondinga on Thursday stormed the studios of Emak FM, a Koforidua based radio station and in an all-die-be-die Rambo-style fashion physically assaulted a communicator of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Wahab Amadu, with a spanner for making libelous statement against him. The NDC communicator was defending the deputy Eastern regional minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong over her Kukurudu chanting. Alhaji Bodinga, first attacked his victim in the studio by slapping and punching his eye during a live political show on radio hosted by Boamah Darko Isaac and but for the timely intervention of the host and other panelists on the program, blood would have been shed in the studio. The obviously angry vice chairman of the NPP, not satisfied with the attack, waited until the program was over and again attacked the NDC communicator with a spanner and succeeded in stabbing him. This compelled the victim to also reply the vice chairman leading to an open free-for-all fight in front of the radio station which attracted passersby to witness the fight. They were later separated once again by the host and other panelists. The shirts of the two got torn in the process with both sustaining injuries. Speaking to the host of the program, Boamah Darko Isaac stated that the whole incident occurred when the NDC communicator made a wild allegation against the regional 1st vice chairman that he begged for food and drink from the NDC during the 2012 campaign at Abuakwa North and that he should shut up over the Kukurudu comment by the deputy Eastern regional minister. The NDC communicator was responding to claim by Alhaji Bodinga that God was using the deputy minister to campaign for the NPP when he chanted Kukurudu during a meeting of the Eastern regional executives of NDC with the national chairman, Dr Kwabena Adjei at the residency on Monday. The victim, Wahab Amadu has lodged an official complaint to the police and has been given medical forms for treatment. In a telephone interview, Alhaji Bodinga justified his attack on the NDC communicator alleging that he has deliberately decided to assassinate his character with lies on radio stations since 2011 when he and disgruntled few others crossed carpet from NPP to NDC at Abuakwa North. No arrest has so far been made.
