Nana Addo Finally Vindicated; Party Executives Confirm He Has Given Out Money

As part of measures to ensure tomorrows congress ends up successful, Nana Akufo Addo was reported to have given out support in the form of cash; to cater for the transportation of delegates who would be travelling from their various centres to vote. Shortly after the news broke, the National Treasurer for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah, came out to debunk the story claiming he is yet to learn about such a gesture from Nana Akufo-Addo. In a release which was copied to Peacefmonline.com, Mr. Abankwah Yeboah is on recorded to have stated that I stayed in my office till 9pm last time. No aspirant has given the party any money. However, his position seems to have been reformed after Peacefmonline.com sought to know from him if the party still has no knowledge about Nana Addos contributions as far as their congress is concerned. Mr. Abankwah Yeboah made it clear to us that it was until this evening that he received a phone call from the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly called Wontumi who informed him that he (Wontumi) had received money from Nana Akufo- Addo to be given to the delegates. The National Treasurer couldnt hide his joy by congratulating Nana Addo for his personal contribution as he broke the news to us. As treasurer, he made it clear that most official contributions had to come through his outfit and since the contributions Nana Addo made didnt go through this process, it became hard to verify. As demanded, he explained that official contributions had to be receipted and recorded. He however added that after an executive of the party in the person of Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, had called him to confirm the authenticity of Nana's contribution, he became convinced.
