VIDEO: Prez Mahamas Decision Are Influenced By Nightmares Not Principles

Governments decision not to respect the law which stipulates that the second tier of pensions, be privately managed with guidelines provided by the National Pension Regulatory Authority, has incurred the wrath of some labour unions. Unions such as the Health Service Workers Union (HSWU), Ghana Registered Nurses Association (GRNA), Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Ghana Physician Assistants Association (GPAA), Ghana Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA) and Ghana Association of Certified Registered Anaesthetists (GRCRA) etc, are have embarked on an indefinite strike action and are willing to return to work only if the problem is rectified. Although officials have come out to convince workers to trust their pension with government, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon. Kyeremanteng Agyarko believes the current administration is yet to win the confidence of public sector workers. Speaking on UTVs Adekye Nsroma, Hon. Agyarko condemned the government for belittling the principles of rule of law. In his estimation, Ghana under the National Democratic Congress, is same as the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea where their president rules based on the nightmares he experiences in his dreams. He advised the government to always look out for the position of the law in whatever decision they plan to take. Watch his position on the issue below
