NYA Is Likely Not To Get 1 Pesewa From Gh690, 000 Warrant Due To Ras Mubaraks Attitude

Aminu Abdulai, the embattled Director of Finance at the National Youth Authority (NYA) has blamed the authoritys inability to process for the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) financial assistance on his Acting Chief Executive Officer, Ras Mubarak. According to him, Ras Mubarak has caused the National Youth Authority (NYA) to lose some GH400, 000 from DFID last two weeks in Brong Ahafo Region as such money would have been used to implement Ghana Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Program. Speaking on Oman FMs Morning Show, the Director of Finance of the NYA has revealed that the authority is losing all trust in terms of safety of funds as the office of the Director of Finance has been broken and locked by Ras Mubarak. He maintained that the authority could not receive the first quarter fund as he [Aminu] could not sign the document which is locked up in his office; thus the NYA has lost the money from DFID. He bemoaned that the NYA is likely not to get 1 pesewa from GIFMIS Gh690, 000 warrants which process has begun by him as a principal officer coordinating everything for the authority to secure the GH690, 000 warrant to cushion the authority budget. Our first quarter fund, I could not sign the book and so NYA has lost the GH400, 000 from DFID to suppose the Ghana Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Program. Our risk level has gone high because if the office of the Director of Finance has been broken, then the money will not be saved in the Directors office; they have withdrew their money. I cant go to the office because my office has been broken and locked; unless Ras Mubarak comes before GIFMIS sitting can begin and if not, NYA is likely not to get 1 pesewa from the Gh690, 000, he bemoaned.
