Kojo Antwi Day Tomorrow...

The much-awaited fourth edition of the Legends and Legacy Ball (LAL) concert is slated for the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) tomorrow, Saturday, November 1. The LAL Ball, which started four years ago, is an event which seeks to celebrate the achievements and legacies of living music legends. It has already celebrated some of the highlife legends which include Daddy Lumba, Abrantie Amakye Dede and A.B Crentsil. This year, Kojo Antwi, also known as Mr Music Man, takes the spotlight to be celebrated at tomorrow�s event, a night that would see supporting artistes challenge him to his own songs. Kojo Antwi has contributed immensely towards the development and promotion of the Ghanaian highlife music. The LAL Ball, according to the organisers, Imajin Advertising, has come to stay and promises to be an even more exciting and life changing experience for the legend and for patrons of who would attend this year�s event. The night of glitz and glamour would feature tribute performances from Kwabena Kwabena, Edem, Wutah Afriyie, Kweisey Pee, Akwaboah and amazing performances from Efya, Kaaki, Noela, MzVee and Nacy. South African singing super star, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, who would also perform at the event, had expressed excitement to be part of the celebration of an African music icon. Yvonne has promised to perform some of her all-time hits like �Thank You Mr DJ�, �I�m Burning Up�, among others, for her fans in Ghana. The event is being organised to stir up the passion of the young and upcoming musicians to work hard to attain the success that the legends have attained and also to afford upcoming artistes the opportunity to showcase their unique talents on the night. Kojo Antwi would be presented with a gold medal, a plaque and other awards in recognition of his hard work, success and contribution to the entertainment industry. Last year, which was the third edition of the event, the organisers honoured A.B Crentsil who has so many hit albums to his credit. The event witnessed performances from Efya, Kwabena Kwabena, No Tribe, Castro, Sherifa Gunu, King Ayisoba, Koo Ntakra, among others
