Halfway through their one-week tour of Johannesburg, South Africa, the five top finalists of the Vodafone Icons music reality show appear to have settled well into their daily schedules of visits.
Reports reaching Showbiz say that, the five: Titi, Cina, Chris, Alice and Ratty, have already visited Vodacom South Africa and participated in an activation event of theirs.
They were also present to watch live, the last Big Brother Africa eviction show and have met with Yvonne Chaka Chaka, the princess of African Music.
The latter visits of the Icons have been to the studio of renowned producer and singer, Neil Solomon, and a tour of Universal Record Studio where they were promised a recording of a single for each of the top three icons plus a video clip of the ultimate winner.
Speaking to Showbiz before the tour, Events and Sponsorship Manager of Vodafone, Ruth Maafo, who is also on the S.A trip, said that the experiential tour is to enable the young musicians have a taste of what is best practice in a foreign environment where the music industry is well developed.
On their return to Accra this weekend, the Icons are expected to return to camp and plunge immediately into final rehearsals towards the grand final scheduled to come off on Wednesday November 26, at the National Theatre.
At stake is a cash prize of GH�100,000, a Nissan Qashqai SUV and a recording deal for the winner and two runners-up.
