Government has dismissed reports that 32-year old Nayeli Ametefeh who was busted at the Heathrow Airport in London for carrying cocaine was traveling on a Ghanaian Diplomatic passport. Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, whiles confirming the arrest of the Ghanaian woman at Heathrow Airport, however denied she is acquainted with the First Family. �I want to state here and now that the lady, Nayeli Ametefeh did not travel on a Ghanaian passport,� he said on Metro TV�s, "Good Morning Ghana" programme. Nayeli Ametefeh was said to be traveling on a Ghanaian Diplomatic Passport and linked to the Presidency moments before her arrest over the weekend. She was allegedly carrying cocaine weighing 12.5kg with a street value of �3.5 million or $5 million and charged with attempting to import the class A drug to the UK. But the Minister of Communications is of the view that �for someone to suggest she did not travel even with a Ghanaian passport but a Diplomatic Passport is something we have to take seriously�. The lady was traveling on an Austria Passport with number P4187659 and not even a Ghana Passport even though she has one �so all those talking about diplomatic Passports must revise their notes; enough of the disinformation�. According to Dr. Omane Boamah, the lady is not called Ruby as widely circulated and further questioned the rationale behind the association of Nayeli Ametefe to the first family. ��then those who want to profit from it by associating the first family...how? Why would anyone want to associate the first family with this? He quizzed.
