Who says, man no dey, man dey ooh, maybe you just having met your match yet. Since Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, an aide and a cousin to the 2016 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, said on Oman FM, a radio station owned by Kennedy Agyapong, a Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central that the Minority in parliament, have abdicated their responsibilities to the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), the Minority, have suddenly found their voice and feet. Three weeks ago, in an unprecedented manner, the Minority, joined a mushroom pressure group ,Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) of overzealous young men affiliated to the NPP to stage a demonstration christened, �Agbeii wo�, virtually all the MPs on the side of the Minority joined in that senseless demonstration. This was unprecedented because, until Gabby took the MPs to the cleanest, they have never taken part in any demonstration organized by AFAG, so what changed. Before this demonstration which had more Police personnel than the protesters, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, in collaboration with Local Authorities across the country, organized a clean-up exercise, known as the Sanitation day, not a single MP from the Minority side took part in the national exercise aimed at cleaning our environment, yet they made time out of their busy schedules on a working day to join a demonstration because Gabby said so. This Gabby sef, I underestimated his influence and power, I have had course to debate colleagues, who think the man is the heart beat of Nana Addo, I doubted them because, some of us have been made to believe that Nana Addo, is a political colossus, who can even stand up to ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, but I am changing my views now. By all indications, since that condemnation there has been a recent improvement albeit negative in the performance of the Minority. Gabby on the Boiling Point programme on Oman FM, was challenged by the Minority leader, Dominic Nitiwul, who called into the programme to refute the allegations, also found his voice too late in the day, at least going by what Gabby has said, when he swore heaven and earth to block the intended the 700 Million Dollars loan the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) want to contract to fund its operations. Their latest naked dance in the market place, is the unfortunate issue of the arrest of Ruby Adu Gyamfi or Nayele Ametefe or whatever her name is, at the Heathrow Airport for allegedly trafficking 12.5 kg of cocaine worth 5 Million dollars, to the United Kingdom (UK). The Minority, have now become apostles of the fight against drug trafficking or menace, are we strangers in this country. Where were they, when their colleague MP, Eric Amoateng, was arrested in the United States of America (USA), for trafficking cocaine, they didn�t see that as a national embarrassment, much less a party embarrassment. They kept quiet over it, as if nothing was wrong. This was a sitting Member of Parliament, whose activities, had dented the image of the August House and the country. The NPP, of which he was a member and the Minority, never issued a statement to even distance the party from him, nor condemn what he did. Dominic Nitiwul, shamelessly took a bag of rice to Parliament with a malicious intent to embarrass the government, only for the Minority to hold a press conference the next day , calling for a bi-patisan Probe Into the Cocaine saga. What is there to be probed is not a fact that the lady has been arrested and arraigned for court? Is it not a fact that some people, whose actions or inactions assisted the lady to traffic the drug, have also been arrested and arraigned before court? We cannot eat our cake and still have it, the NPP, right from the word go, made the issue a partisan one, they have employ so many tactics, including initially claiming the lady in question was Francisca Adjei, that claim fell flat when Francisca came out to deny that. They went on with the issue of the Diplomatic Passport. This one too has been proven not to be true. We are now at a stage where the lady is being linked to some people in the National Democratic Congress (NDC),who have been sleeping with her. Dominic Nitiwul, made the issue partisan, when he carried a bag of rice to Parliament, to make a mockery of the situation. I cannot believe that the Minority in Parliament, could be so petty and descend so low, because Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, had criticize them. He had questioned their loyalty to his uncle, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo , that allegation was enough to get them to throw caution to the wind and start misbehaving. I have said this before and will repeat it again and that is why I now understand why the dog follows the man with the pot belly, the man will either poop or throw up for the dog to eat. Gabby has become such a huge figure that his words are now law to be obeyed by all and carried tops the latter. Some Ghanaians are beginning to take notice. I don�t expect that little improvement to muffle the critics, who are seeing through the sudden behavior of the Minority. So if you see Gabby tell him, he is the deal.
