Posterity Will Lash At You If You Don't Stop Fighting - Kuntu Blankson

George Kuntu Blankson has condemned the seemingly endless chieftaincy dispute at Arkra, in the Ekumfi Constituency of the Central Region. According to the former Member of Parliament of the area, the ongoing litigation between kingmakers is stalling developmental effort, thereby worsening the plight of ordinary people of Arkra. Speaking at the Ayereya Akwambo Festival over the weekend, Kuntu Blankson stated: the entrenched positions some of us have held onto for many years and others inability to forgive is the cause of the deep seated division in this town. I stand here before you speak on the need for communal labour, but I do so as a very sad man. I will not come here to lie to you. How can we come to push Arkra forward if indigenes have chosen to boycott their festival. Its a shame that invited guests are seated but most of the people of Arkra are indoors because they dont want to be part of the celebrations. How would you go on to tell you the importance of communal lobour? The Former Law Makers frustration stems from the fact that virtually all the people of Arkra stayed away from the festival grounds because of dispute over chieftaincy which has been raging for many years. He however warned the elders of Arkra that if steps are not taken to end the needles quarrel, posterity would blame them for the woes of the community. ..this happened in India, when student summed the remains of some leaders of the country and burnt them because according to them, they are the cause of lack of development in their area. let us try to be frank and truthful with each other because that is what will stand the test of time, he added.
