Gospel musician, Superintendent Kofi Sarpong has refuted speculations that Ashanti Regional Police commander, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye is his relative.
In an interview with Adom News, Kofi Sarpong who also doubles as the Director of the Procurement Unit of the Ghana Police Service said DCOP Kofi Boakye is rather his senior in the service.
Supt Kofi Sarpong, who has received praise for his musical creativity, said he admires how the Ashanti Regional Police commander carries out his duties. �Mr. Kofi Boakye, commander one is my senior officer and not a brother..,� Supt Kofi Sarpong noted.
He added that DCOP Kofi Boakye once told him that a lot of people always ask him if he has some affiliations with the gospel singer.
�A lot of people also normally ask me whether I relate him [DCOP Kofi Boakye] or not because we look alike�� Kofi Sarpong asserted.
�Commander One is my father, a brother, mentor, motivator, counselor and advisor but we don�t have any biological affiliations�,� Superintendent Kofi Sarpong stated.
