@NDC Congress....Rawlings Apologizes For Breaking Protocol

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has apologized for breaking protocol for his late arrival at the 8th Congress of the National Democratic Congress after President John Mahama and his Vice Kwesi Amissah Arthur got to the congress grounds before he did. The Founder of the ruling National Democratic Congress however gave reason for his late arrival saying he was moved from the airport to his hotel before coming to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium while President John Mahama and his Vice Amissah Arthur moved straight to the Congress ground. Speaking at the 8th Congress of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Mr. Rawlings said it is time for the party to rewrite its history as history writers have cheated PNDC/NDC out of many social intervention programs they propagated. He therefore took the occasion to thank the Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur for being bold to state at the burial ceremony of Mr. Louis Casely Hayford that electrification of the whole country started by PNDC/NDC after the first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had planted the teak trees. He however affirmed his love for the Vice President for his bold statement saying he [Amissah Arthur] can help the party to rewrite the true political history of the country and the party. Over 4,000 delegates of the party are voting today, Saturday December 20 to elect new national executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years. The key positions being contested for are the National chairman, General Secretary, National organizer, vice chairmen, deputy general secretary, and propaganda secretary.
