Until Ghanaians Become Politically Active, Govt Will Continue To Impose Their Decisions

Deputy Minority Leader of Parliament, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul believes President Mahama's government is getting away with every bad decision in the country because Ghanaians are not politically active to demand for their interest in governance. According to the NPP MP for Bimbilla, the political inactivity of Ghanaians is making the government take certain decisions with their majority in Parliament at the expense of the nations interest as they have realized that Ghanaians are soft. Commenting on the governments 10% reduction in fuel price, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul said on Oman Fm that, the Mahama led administration appears determined to bring suffering to Ghanaians; and have even succeeded due to the fact that Ghanaians are calm and quiet by nature. He mentioned that the behavior of the NDC government would not have been tolerated if Ghana were to be Ivory Coast, Benin or Burkina Faso as these countries are politically active to fight back any means necessary to demand for the right things to be done in their countries. To him, until Ghanaians begin to see the harm their quiet attitude is causing the countrys development, the inept NDC government will continue to have a free day in their bad governance. Everything they are doing is to inflict more suffering on Ghanaians and they take those decisions because they know they have the majority and also Ghanaians are soft people who dont push harder to demand for their rights. They know Ghanaians are not politically active and if you call them to demonstrate, they wont come. If this government knows that Ghanaians are active in politics, the Suhum road and many other projects would have been done 6 years ago...if we dont change this attitude, the government can decide to change the will of Ghanaians; they can change your votes to suit their interest, he charged.
