TAXI CABS with portraits of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, keep increasing in Kumasi. The taxi cabs had bold pictures of a smiling Nana Akufo-Addo on nicely-made posters with different inscriptions written on them. Some of the posters have inscriptions which read, Nana Addo No Size, Nana Our Saviour, and Nana for President 2016, among others. Daily Guide recently spotted a sizeable number of these taxi cabs on the streets of Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital. The paper first spotted a few of the Nana Akufo-Addo decorated taxi cabs on the streets of Kumasi late last year. But the number of taxi cabs with the NPP gurus portraits has increased significantly since the beginning of the New Year. The presence of the taxi cabs on the streets of the city is fast creating awareness about Nana Akufo-Addo to the public. Some of the taxi drivers DAILY GUIDE spoke to disclosed that the NPP executives have nothing to do with the posters on their vehicles. According to them, they are staunch NPP supporters and that they think they have a crucial role to play in the partys 2016 campaign. The taxi drivers noted that using their cars to create awareness about Nana Akufo-Addo to the public was one of the things they could do to help the NPP. Kwaku Nsafoa, a taxi driver, lamented over the excessive hardship in the country, blaming the NDC administration for it. Ghana, he pointed out, will collapse if the NDC retains political power in 2016, urging other taxi drivers to support the campaign to oust the NDC in 2016. Nana Adjei, another taxi driver with Nana Addos poster on his car, said Ghana has no hope of economic breakthrough under the NDC. He therefore urged other professionals to also start campaigning in their own ways to help the NPP defeat the NDC in 2016.
