A leading member of pressure group #OccupyGhana, Sydney Casely-Hayford has dismissed rumours that he owes political allegiance to the main opposition New Patriotic Party.
According to him, his only interest in social politicking is to promote good governance.
�I�m not an NPP member, I�m not and NDC member, I�m not a PPP member, I don�t belong to any political party,� the financial analyst stated in an interview with Radio Gold Tuesday.
He continued: �I criticise people who don�t practice good governance but if the NPP agenda is good governance, then, fine, I�m happy to belong to that group of people�.
He said attempts by some people to tag him and other members of the anti-corruption group with political colours will not deter them from their desire to build a more responsible society.
#OccupyGhana is a pressure group working to get the Ghanaian government devise measures to ensure a corruption-free society and to improve the economy.
They have staged mass protests and forums to compel government to meet their demands.
