Oteng Adjei Is New GNPC Board Chairman

Information available to peacefmonline.com indicates that Dr Joe Oteng-Adjei, a former Energy Minister, has just been named as the new Board Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

The position was then being occupied by Mr Ato Ahwoi.

A reliable source confirmed the news to Nana Kwadwo Asante, Editor of Peacefmonline. The source however added that the Energy Minister is yet to swear in Dr Oteng-Adjei as GNPC Board Chair.

Dr Oteng Adjei was recently caught up in a controversy where he was accused of taking home a plush Lexus vehicle he used when he was the Energy Minister.

He however denied the allegation saying the Lexus LX 570 was a reward for his hardwork. He later returned the car after numerous criticisms.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if a new board will be constituted or Oteng Adjei will lead the current board members.

The current board members include, Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation Alex Mould, Awulae Atibrukusu, Cadman Mills, Kweku Temeng, Alexandra Amoako Mensah and Kyeretwie Opoku.
