NPP Is An Inept Party...Can't Manage Their Own Affairs - Sam George

A member of the Government's Communication Team, Sam George has described the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as an "inept" party; inacapable of managing its own affairs.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Sam George told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that it will somehow be suicidal for the country to be entrusted to the NPP because they have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that they lack the skills to manage the affairs of the nation.

Sam George, reacting to the brouhaha over the NPP's affirmative action to empower more female Members of Parliament (MPs) to contest the party's primaries without any opposition from their male counterparts, believed the new order will have some repercusions on th fortunes of the party.

He also criticized the NPP for the poor handling of the situation which has created a deep chasm within the party and led to several agitations from the grass roots.

To him, the internal conflicts arising as a result of the party's inability to communicate effectively to the masses about the intended action to be taken in favour of its women representatives, clearly shows how tactless the NPP is.

It is not about the communication. It is simply about the fact that the NPP is inept at managing any affairs, its own affairs. You’re completely inept at managing your affairs. They cannot manage their own internal affairs; how can we even entrust the entire nation into your hands?

A simple matter as getting more women into Parliament you have bombed with it. If this were exams, you wouldn’t have gotten F but rather F+," he said.

Sam George further espoused that the affirmative action being propagated by the NPP, should encompass a “level-playing ground” adding that what the party is doing is an “insult to women and an insult to feminisst that they’re incompetent and you need to create an even playing field…We need to call a spade a spade. The NPP has goofed big time. You’re trying to do damage control and knowing you very well, your damage control will result in an even bigger disaster.”
