Arsenal 4-1 Liverpool

A first-half blitz from Arsenal left Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League in tatters as the Gunners ran riot to send themselves second in the Barclays Premier League in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at the Emirates Stadium.

Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez all scored brilliant goals before the break in a victory that moved the north London club above Manchester City, who play on Monday night, in the title race. Jordan Henderson added a consolation from the penalty spot but Olivier Giroud clinched the win in stoppage time after Emre Can's red card.
