Closeness Of Anus To Vagina Causes UTI In Ladies- Head Of Healthy Soul Natural Centre

Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) and Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are diseases currently on the rise in Ghana and women are at a higher risk according to Dr. Owusu-Ansah Daniel (Homeopath).

The renowned herbalist who heads the Healthy Soul Natural Centre sounded this alarm bell when Peacefmonline.com engaged him in a one on one conversation about the two dieseases; specifically UTIs. 

According to Dr. Owusu-Ansah, the commonest disease patients report to him on daily basis has to do with either UTIs or STIs. UTIs in ladies according to him are common; and the reason he claims is because of the closeness of their anus to their vagina.

He further explains that when Escherichia coli (E. coli), a type of bacteria commonly found in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract spreads from the anus to the urethra, infection of the urethra (urethritis) is caused.


He described some of the symptoms of UTIs as follows:


Touching on measures to prevent UTIs, Dr. Owusu-Ansah Daniel advised Ghanaians especially adolescents to practice safe sex and use barrier contraceptives such as condoms.
