Business Man Grabbed With Human Head

Daniel Akpaloo, a 30-year-old businessman, has been arrested with two human heads at Aflao in the Volta region. The businessman, suspected to be a ritualist, was arrested along with a 14-year-old boy identified as Richard Atta, by National Security operatives in collaboration with the Police on Saturday. Reports say three top-notch lawyers from Accra have identified as counsel for the suspects. One of the human skulls, tied in a red cloth, had several padlocks numbering about 30 locked onto it in chains, whilst the other skull was placed in a pot with palm oil and some particles believed to be food. About 56 knives were also stuck into the skulls. The human head which was tied in the red cloth looked older whilst the one in the pot looked fresh. Daniel Akpaloo was suspected to be the owner of the items whilst Richard was alleged to be his messenger. The suspects are currently in Police custody whilst investigations continue. Narrating how the suspected ritualists were apprehended, a National Security source told Daily Guide that Daniel Akpaloo, also a clearing agent, had a misunderstanding with a security personnel. He was alleged to have boasted somewhere that he would kill the National Security personnel within one week. Someone who heard him subsequently informed members of the security agency who decided to act fast before any misfortune befell their colleague. After gathering intelligence information, they learnt that the suspect, Daniel Akpaloo, had some idols in his house which were suspected to be powered by some human parts. The suspect however told the Police that he knew nothing about the idol which he said belonged to a tenant in his house, who was no where to be found. Upon the arrest of the two, it was alleged that three policemen stationed at Aflao broke down in uncontrollable tears; but the reason for their tears was yet to be discovered. Akpaloo, at the time of his arrest, had on him the sum of GH6,700. According to sources, the knives were used to spiritually kill anyone who was brought to them. After performing some rituals, the knife was given to the client to stab into the pot which contained the fresh human head. After this was done, the targeted person was expected to die within a given time through an accident, sickness and other means. The number of knives in the pot was therefore alleged to be representing the number of human beings that had been killed through spiritual means so far by the suspected ritualists. The padlocks, numbering about 30, which had been locked to one another, were also believed to be used for a myriad of spiritual activities. According to the sources, one use of the padlocks chained to the skull was that when one had a court case with another person, the padlock was used to spiritually lock the opponent which made it impossible for him to talk in court. One could also be killed, made to go mad, turned into a drunkard or crippled when he was spiritually locked by the padlocks, depending on the demand of a client. Furthermore, Daily Guide gathered that the padlocks were also used to woo ladies spiritually. Another item included in the spiritual apparatus, was a trap-like item which was allegedly used to spiritually trap any targeted person.
