The main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been advised to expel Dr Arthur Kennedy if they want to stay focused.

Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, Head of the Department of History and Political Science of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has stated that it is not right for one person (Arthur Kennedy) to stay abroad and write various statements which often raises tension in the party; hence the NPP needs to give him one more chance to change his ways or expel him.

"He should be given the chance to amend his ways or else they should expel him from the party. It is not appropriate, it is not acceptable. This is a cancer in the party that must be removed. It seems like he has a grudge with Nana Addo..." he said.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaw Kesse sit-in host of Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" programme Thursday morning, on the current political tension developments in the New Patriotic Party, the political science lecturer said he strongly believes the one-time flagbearer aspirant has a personal vendetta against Nana Addo, and is only using issues surrounding internal strife at the National Headquarters as camouflage to attack him (Nana Addo).

“All he is doing shows that he is against Nana Akufo-Addo and if he is against the flagbearer then he is against the party. He does not care what happens to the party...They should expel him from the party. It does not matter the so-called Alan camp, Kufuor camp, he is a cancer in the party that must be removed”, he stressed.

“What he is doing should not be tolerated by anyone in any faction in the party. It is inappropriate, unacceptable and in a lot of ways cowardice because if he has a problem, he should come to Ghana and not sit somewhere and write uncomplimentary things about people”.
