NDC Has Not Created Any Business Dev't Committee - Kofi Adams

National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Kofi Adams says there is no committee among their nine (9) set of committees which is called Business Development Committee.

According to him, the National Chairman of NDC, Mr. Kofi Portuphy as part of his strong desire for doing things better for the youth in his party promised to help them during his campaign to create opportunity for those who have good business ideas.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Kofi Adams said there is rather a Business Development Desk in the offices where all the ideas will be groomed for the youth grow their businesses.

He hinted that the party has not yet set up the Business Development Desk, but admitted that suggestions have been floated and work is ongoing to see the best way to implement the project for the youth to benefit from it.

We have 9 committees in the party; we have Political Committee, Economic Committee, Social Service Committee, Communication Committee, Legal and Constitutional Committee, finance Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Election Committee and Complains and Conflict Resolution Committee. These are the committees we have; there is no committee called Business Development Committee”, he stated.

However, our National Chairman as part of his strong desire for doing things better, when he was to campaign, he promised the youth in the party to help them develop their ideas into businesses….but we have not started yet; suggestions have been floated and we are working around it to see what we can do about it”, he added.

He dismissed suggestions that the 9 committees was set up solely because of the 2016 elections, pointing out that it is a regular routine done every four years when new executives take over leadership of the party.

He assured there will be another committees which will map out strategies to retain power in the 2016 elections; adding these committees are rather helping to build a manifesto for 2016 as they make recommendations in the various sectors.
