Video: D-Black, Citizen Kofi, And Sokoo Hemaa Share Their Opinions On Dumsor

Led by Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson, the #DumsorMustStop Vigil came off successfully on May 16, 2015.

Among over one thousand Ghanaians who expressed worry about the current energy crisis, BET Award winner – D-Black, Owner of Citizen Kofi Entertainment Centre – Dr. Kofi Amoah, and Television personality – Sokoo Hemaa also shared their opinions on the ongoing incessant power cuts.

According to the ‘Personal Person’ hit maker, the vigil had nothing to do with politics.

“I’m speaking as a concerned non-partisan Ghanaian. This is not political. We don’t have electricity and for so many years, promises have been made; so we want to understand why we do not have electricity. It’s a basic amenity. People are suffering, people are dying, people are losing their jobs, and there are no jobs anywhere,” D-Black lamented.

The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, also spoke about the state of affairs of the vigil and how they effectively trained their men for the 'dumsor' protest.
