I've Never Seen Anything Like This...Afoko, Agyepong Must Resign - Ayisi Boateng

George Ayisi Boateng, one of the founding members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called for the immediate resignation of party Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong following the demise of the party’s Upper East regional chairman, Adams Mahama.

According to him, their stay in office will be at their own risk because "how can they go about their duties especially in the Upper East Region?.

Speaking in an interview on PeaceFM's "Kokrokoo" on Friday Mr. Ayisi Boateng urged the National Chairman and Scribe to take his advise in good faith.

He expresssed shock at the unfortunate incident saying "there has been so many chairmen, and General Secretaries but I have never seen anything like this. People die natural deaths in the NPP; they are not killed".

"The party indeed belongs to all of us...there have been other National Chairmen in the past...but we didn't see anything like this. The same things applies to the General Secretary position. Why now when we are the only hope for Ghanaians? If the Chairman and the General Secretary is the only reason for us not to respond to their (Ghanaians) call, then they should step aside" he added.
