Outspoken NPP MP, Kennedy Agyapong has hinted that two leading members of his party want to “kill” him.

The Assin Central MP, last week accused NPP National Chairman, Paul Afoko; General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong and former Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Mpiani of having a hand in the acidic attack on Adams Mahama [Upper East Regional chairman of the NPP] leading to his death.

Ever since, the Lawmaker claims he has received numerous threats from some unknown individuals but claims he is unperturbed.

He has however informed his family members and comrades to hold Kwabena Agyapong and Mpiani responsible in case he untimely loses his life.

“As I sit here, I have told my family members that if anything like that [my assassination] happens, they should call Kwadwo Mpiani, they should call Kwabena Agyapong because persons sympathetic to them have on a daily basis been calling to threaten me,” he revealed. 

He added that “Kwadwo Mpiani’s boy threatened to behead me like a fowl…Kwabena Agyepong loyalists held meetings at Kumasi [and] hired machomen and paid [them] GHC 8,000 to threaten to beat me to death.”

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam Programme on Tuesday May 26, 2015, the outspoken NPP man said despite the threats, he has not officially lodge any complaint with the police.

According to him, the former Chief of Staff in the erstwhile Kufuor administration is now taking refuge in the house of Paul Afoko with Kwabena Agyapong.

“Why is Kwabena Agyapong and Kwadwo Mpiani now hiding in the residence of Paul Afoko?...when Kwadwo Mpiani was going there, he was carried along his pertsonal effects including food,” he asserted.
